Hello Ladies!
Last I posted I was preparing for a move to Italy (Torino)...But now my only child has announced she is having a baby in September!! So, it looks like my move will have to wait! But, I do plan to come and stay for a month in June. Any suggestions where I can stay? I am open to renting a room in a home, helping to care for kids a day or 2 in exchange for the room, or renting an apartment. It would need to be in close proximity to public transportation. I want to explore a bit of Italy, Paris and Switzerland, so the less I have to spend on my housing, the better!! I could also work part time, so if you need any help in your business...that would be great too!! I am open to different areas...Torino was my thought since it's close to Paris and Switzerland, where I would like to take a few day trips to.
Any suggestions, please contact me!! I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!!
Thank you!!

ohh how lovely.
you'r going to be a grandma.

wel thats more lovely than living in italie no?
dont know any places but i just wanted to say how lovely that your going to be a grandma.

ps mabey a weird question but how is it to have one child?
i have a daughter of 2,5 now but am almost sure i dont want to have a other one.

am happy with how it is now,
but everybody(parends in law)say one child is sad,get spoild etc

a lithel brother ore sister would be nice for her but am so tired with just her.and amhappy that she plays on her own,and i dont need to stand-up every tree hours.

sorry for mine long question.

Hi Becca,
That was a very nice letter - thank you! It will be great to be a grandma...I was just hoping for an adventure first...but hopefully good health will continue and the future will allow that! I love my daughter so much and will be outrageously happy to meet my grandchild...I am very excited!

Having an only child has been very special to us both. She is extremely well adjusted, has always gotten along well with others (adults and children alike) and is a respectful, happy woman! She has never acted as a spoiled kid...its all in the upbringing...don't listen to strerotyping! As a child she played well with others and played just as well alone...either way she was happy, content and very imaginative and creative...and she still is!! She never had to be "entertained"...she never complained of being "bored".
So, if you only want one child - GO FOR IT!! Your child will be very happy - no worries!!!!! bom

she got a niece that 2,5months younger than her.if we are outside then it go's really good but in the house its like hell.
mabey because we live with mine parends in law and she is gelouse.

i hope if she go's toschool she wil play better with other kids.and learns how to share.

she just now plays on her own.so that makes me happy.

Hi!
Try this link above, I get their newsletter online and they have information about rentals etc. I live in Genoa and am very near Switzerland and France. It was only a 2 hour drive to Nice (my fav spot!) and a 3 hour train to Lugano, Switzerland. I think Genoa would be better than Torino only because you are by the sea, near Milan which is a major hub for trains and planes and also close to the 2 countries you want to explore...just a thought Cool

Oh, and of course you would know me Very Happy

Congrats on the grandma news too bounce

Hi,
I have a student who has a young son, I asked her tonight if she knew of anyone looking for some help in June/July and she said she was! I told her about you...not sure if this would interest you or not. Let me know and I can give you more details and her email address. Btw, do you know any Italian at all? My student speaks a little bit of English and her Lawyer husband speaks more, but she is Elementary level.
Drop me an email because I do not look at this community site every day.
Cheers, Leah
