Mobile Phones

So I'm still using (or, rather, trying NOT to use because it's so expensive) my English mobile. The problem is that I'm locked into an English contract until April, so don't really want to go onto an Italian contract. However, I would like to have an Italian phone so that I don't get charged for receiving calls from idiot telesales companies in the UK. Also, my boss is bugging me about the fact that he has to pay loads of money to call me. Not that he ever does, but clearly it annoys him that I'm not fully integrated into Italian life yet.

SOOO, I'm after an Italian PAYG, that I can just have available for emergencies and incoming calls. Does anyone have any recommendations of which provider to go with? Also, is it possible to get an iPhone on a PAYG contract? (I'm thinking probably not, but would LOVE for somebody to contradict me!)

Yes mine is Pay as you go, my BF just tops it up at the bancomat when im running low on credit (if gives you that option at the bancomat to put more cash on your phone credit) im with TIM they seem quite good not had any trouble with it.

Im thinking about getting an LG Tribe phone the pink one its so cute and should have no problems taking my old sim card! Since i have been living here i have been using my BF's old phone while he got himself a new one! So im thinking its time to get own one

We've got vodafone PAYG. No complaints.

Hehehe. No, not yet. I was going to go on Saturday, but I had to do stupid examiner training in the morning, and in the afternoon I just wanted to go back to bed! I'm going to try to get one this weekend, when I can rope my flatmate into coming to the shop and translating for me
