Going home to Somerset/London. Yayyyyyy! I booked my flights a couple of days ago and I can't wait. I'm spending the day itself with my family, but there will definitely be some London-stylee drinking with my friends at some point as well ...

I always spend it in Rome. We do Italian xmas eve dinner, and English xmas lunch (my MIL is a Londoner, here over 50 yrs, but still does turkey, stuffing, trifle, xmas pud). SO I get the best of both worlds. We open presents xmas morning not xmas eve tho..

I am flying back to the "lone star " state of Texas on December 2 ( gotta be maid of honor on the 5th.. oh texas ) .. and will stay until the 28th with a week in los angeles to visit friends. I sooo excited as this is the FIRST christmas in 2 years that I get to be near my huge and crazy family ( probably why i am as well ) .. tommaso has to work which I was super sad about .. but what can you do when they wave around a "contratto indeterminato" for him around.. eh.. so happy to go home where people make TOO MUCH OF A BIG DEAL about christmas and having an "eggnogg" latte from starbucks.
katja ur from somerset? I was just there in november, my good friend Hannah Poole is from there ( she did an italian experience like you in Florence and we became fast friends over wine and randomness) and now she lives in London .. small world! great place somerset! I LOVED pub food, as soon as im allowed back into the UK i will be there again !
