Ciao ladies
I live in California but was in Rome for a week last December, and am going to northern Italy with my husband for a month in just 10 days from now (IF that dang volcano quiets down!)
We've spent a year of Italian lessons, Meet-up groups, and chatting with Italians on Facebook. We've met hundreds with our last name, and prior to this my husband thought he was the last one!
Now, we'll be visiting at least 6 different towns/villages, and dozens of families, some of whom have invited us to stay at their homes! even invited to a wedding May 1st! And none are relatives! It's been a wonderful experience already; we are looking forward to seeing Italy through the eyes of Italians this time.
We are already thinking of a 3 month long trip for next year. Then what? 6 months????
