Hello! I'm new to this forum and I am still living in the states. My husband and I have visited often and hope to eventually live there - if not year-round, then half year there.

I am interested in knowing as much as possible - both the good and the bad. I am well aware that life there is not perfect, but neither is it perfect here. Our priorities and lifestyles seem better suited to Italy where we feel very comfortable.

Ellen

welcome! Very Happy

Part-time Italy sounds a good solution. You can take the best of Italy without actually getting trapped here! Good luck with you plans. Where abouts are you thinking of coming?

We like the Umbria region very much, perhaps Spoleto. And I am totally in love with Florence also. I've just met a woman here in SC that lived in Florence for 7 years. She like it very much and it was not as expensive to rent there as I thought it might be. Ellen

Florence is lovely. Gorgette is the one to ask about it! As for prices, all the cities can be expensive for rental..but it is all relative to what u r used to back home!
